Unmanned Aerial Vehicle equipped with IGI Sensor Systems
Together with Geocopter B.V., a powerful tool for rapid data aquisation was designed. Using two turbine engines, the helicopter is able to fly very smoothly for up to four hours. Featuring automatic lift-offs and automatic landings, the system is only managed from the pilot station.
Equipped with IGI's AEROcontrol (GPS/IMU) and DigiCAM or DigiTHERM system, this UAV is ready for quick surveying nearly any region. Using a small laser scanner (LM 2400) with AEROcontrol even collecting 3D data for DSM or DTM creation is possible.
Pilot Station
The pilot station is the interface between pilot and the unmanned helicopter. The standard pilot station consists of a laptop with flight control and mission planning software, data link equipment, and a power generator for remote field operations. The graphical user interface displays a variety of mission critical information of the UAV, including:
- Real-time position on the map viewer
- Speed, attitude and distance indicator
- Flight mode indicator
- Alarm indicators
In addition to the standard pilot station, complete Command and Control vehicles can be outfitted.
