Dual DigiCAM is a medium-format airborne digital camera system for professional, but affordable digital aerial photography. By using IGI's core competence in airborne developments, the digital camera is built for airborne conditions and aerial survey applications. Combined with IGI's flight management system CCNS4 and the AEROcontrol GPS/IMU system, Dual DigiCAM forms a complete solution for an extremely rapid and automated workflow for the generation of directly georeferenced images.
A Dual DigiCAM uses two DigiCAM cameras. Both operate together as one system. There are a couple of different installation options. The system can be used for a larger swath width or for oblique images. It is also possible to use one camera for RGB and the other for CIR images. Both cameras can be fired synchronously or - to achieve a higher maximum flight speed - asynchronously.
